An Air India pilot made headlines for seating his mother on a jump seat in the cockpit of the Pune to Delhi plane, after he couldn't get her a free ticket.

The pilot demanded the Airport Officials to issue a dummy boarding pass to allow her mother to travel to the capital. Stating that his mother was sick and he could't leave her alone at the airport, the pilot threatened that he wouldn't fly without her on board.

Usually, Air India pilots will be allowed to use some free tickets depending on the availability of the seats. As the flight was full with 122 passengers on board, there is no chance for allocating tickets for pilots for their family members. Due to the pilot's issue, the flight was delayed by 20 minutes causing inconvenience to the passengers.
