Medical Seat Is Costlier Than MLA Ticket

On an average, a medical college (private) should not collect more than 5.5 lakhs for an MBBS seat. But some colleges owned by some our T-Congress politicians are charging more than 60 lakhs. This is slightly higher than the price that is expected to be spent by an MLA aspirant to fetch ticket for a rural area. Most of the seats in medical colleges are getting sold in the same manner from years. While politicians make a hell out of seats in Gandhi and Osmania colleges, why no one speaks a word about this selling which happens even before EAMCET ranks are announced?
Analysts say that ACB should jump into scene to nab the persons behind the selling of MBBS seats. At the same time, politicians should stop giving regional color to this scam and fight united to curb it.
