Jagan did what Congress couldn't do: Azad

AICC general secretary and in charge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad admitted that the by-poll debacle of the party is due to the failure of the leaders in explaining to the people that the schemes implemented during YSR's regime are actual Congress party's programmes.

The senior Congressman accused that Jagan started a false campaign claiming that all the schemes were the brain child's of his father and publicized that only if be becomes CM the implementation of the schemes with be smooth. In his opinion, Congress leaders failed completely to prevent Jagan's campaign.

However, Azad is hopeful that Congress will pick up in the next couple of months. As the hysteria has calmed down, Azad is now directing the Congress leaders to go to the villages and explain the real facts to the people and prepare the voters mentally to support Congress party in 2014 general elections.
