Former Handlooms and Textiles minister Shankar Rao came down heavily on state government for restricting the CBI sleuths from taking action against the corrupt ministers in the present cabinet. He questioned the govt. why other corrupt ministers were spared, when minister Mopidevi Venkataramana was arrested in connection with Jagan's illegal assets case.

The senior leader demanded CBI JD Lakshminarayana to take former govt. advisor KVP Ramachandra Rao into custody accusing him of playing a key role in Rs. 1 lakh crore scam. He also opined that targeting a BC leader like Mopidevi will distance that community people from the Congress party.

Shankar Rao expressed confidence that AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi will announce Telangana state before her birthday (Dec 9th).
