Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 2′ has opened to rave reviews. Most of the critics have given the film a thumbs up, and thus it is expected to do well at the ticket window. ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 2′ has garnered Rs 3 crore on its first day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, “#GOW2 picked up during the course of the day, yesterday. Wednesday *early estimates* indicate 3 cr. May even cross 3 cr.”

The film has been screened at prestigious film festivals such as Cannes International Film Festival and Osian Cinefan, and has received good word of mouth publicity.

The story shows the rivalry among three families. Manoj Bajpayee had played the role of one of the gang-lords Sardar Khan in the first part while Nawazuddin Siddiqui carries forward his legacy in the second part.

Film director Tigmanshu Dhulia has also played an important role in both the parts.
