Lot of discussion is happening in Tollywood circles about this 'top producer'. We have many bigwigs who can shed money like water, even then, all are not top producers. So, what exactly this 'top' means?

One section feels that producers who have produced much number of films are the top producers. They say that Ramanaidu, Ramoji Rao and Allu Aravind are the top producers in Telugu Film Industry. But there are the ones like Dil Raju and Chatrapati Prasad, who produced fewer films but scored some big hits. And again there are some producers who made only 3-4 movies but stunning outputs. Anyways, we have these people who celebrate '30 years in industry' with bunches of movies that cannot be remembered except for a couple.

Critics say that it is not how many years we are in film production or the number of films we produce, but the 'meaningful' movies we make defines the credibility of the word 'top'. As of now, we cannot particularly pick out a 'diamond' from the available jewellery!
