Director Srinu Vaitla is one of the most successful directors in Tollywood today. He has the third biggest grosser (Dookudu) of Tollywood to his credit. Despite all that credentials, Srinu Vaitla is yet to reach the league of Rajamoulis and Puri Jagans who have earned 'brand image' for themselves. Srinu Vaitla makes template comedies with all the heroes.

Vaitla has never came out of his 'safe route' ever since he struck form with Dhee. He is continuously making films in the same format and it is high time that he comes out of this hangover and tries something new. When Srinu Vaitla recently narrated a story to Mahesh Babu, the latter reportedly said that it is quite similar to Dookudu and won't work again.

Mahesh Babu asked Vaitla to come up with an action based film laced with some humor, so that it attracts the masses. Mahesh has been doing films for family and class audience and he feels that he has do films that impress the mass audiences too. Going by Mahesh's advice Srinu Vaitla and his writers team are preparing an action packed subject for Prince.
