In a shocking incident, a prisoner killed his fellow inmate and seriously injured few others in Cherlapally Central Prison. This incident happened at around 4:30 am on Wednesday in the Swarnamukhi block.

Dasari Narsimhulu, the accused, attacked the inmates in his barrack with a scissors. In the attack, five prisoners were seriously injured and they were immediately rushed to the Gandhi hospital. Out of the 5 victims, one inmate was declared dead by the doctors and two others are in critical conditions. However, there is still no clarity on the actual reason behind the death of the inmate. Doctors said that the victim is a swine flu patient and he also suffered a heart stroke during the time of incident.

The jail authorities were investigation in the angle, from where the scissors had come from and who gave it to the inmate.
