Royal Enfield Gives Hand To CM Kiran

Once again our state has proved that we are not capable of attracting international companies. Failure of politicians and bureaucrats has distanced another big venture which would have become a jewel in our state's kitty.

As AP government failed to give proper concessions, bike manufacturer Royal Enfield has dropped their plans to build a 250 crore rupees factory in 75 acres near Chittoor. Inquiries revealed that Tamilnadu government has offered them 50 acres land for free before giving them other concessions through Motor Vehicle act. CM Kiran failed to respond to the petition of Royal Enfield way back in 2010 and awarded them concessions in last month only. The delay has hurt the company officials which were anyway given a royal treatment by our neighbourhood state.

After Volkswagen, this is the second biggest international factory that has opted out of Andhra Pradesh. If the situation continues to be the same, there is no question of development through industrialization in state.
