Rana Daggubati is taking up the opener role for this summer season. His film Naa Ishtam will release on March 23 as Ugadi falls on that day. So Naa Ishtam will flag off the biggest season for films. There are as many as ten big films lined up for this summer.

Naa Ishtam is a crucial film for Rana as his previous film Nenu Naa Rakshasi bombed at the box office. Genelia played the female lead in this film directed by former associate Prakash Toleti. The makers of Simha produced this film.

Chakri is composing music for Naa ishtam. Rana’s another film Department is slated for June release. This is a Hindi film and will be dubbed in Telugu too.
