Nandamuri Taraka Ratna expected his latest film Nandeeswarudu to give him the much needed break. This film was released on Sunday as Pongal attraction, but failed to draw decent crowds on the first day despite it being a festival day.

Only few lower class audiences were present at the theaters. As per the first day talk, Nandeeswarudu may find it tough to pull ahead especially with two big films like Businessman and Bodyguard in the competition.

Nandeeswarudu is a action film targeted at the mass audience, but the extreme violence and bad script nullified its chances to survive at the box office.
